You can put on the patch on any part of your body, but the left arm is the usual place where people put in the patch; the patch releases nicotine that enters the body through the skin.
Some quitters have said that they quit smoking following a step by step course of action. You can start by cutting down on the number of cigarettes that you smoke in a day instead of giving it all up the next day. In this way you can prepare both your mind and body into believing that you need less and less amount of nicotine and that you are doing great.
