Once a person receives Cisco training in the field of technology, it is essential for that individual to commit to periodic recertification. Recertification helps a person to stay aware of the latest technological advances and procedures. Recertifying may assist a professional in securing employment, keeping a job, and getting promoted to higher positions.

Up to date knowledge

In addition to aiding a person in the pursuit of ongoing education, recertification indicates to employers and clients that a professional knows about the most recent changes in the technological field. As technology continues to advance, professionals in the field must remain informed of relevant advancements. Those who do not stay aware of technology as it evolves will not be properly equipped to work in the industry. Most clients and employers are well aware of this fact.

Because there are system guidelines that enable people to stay educated, the training system is a comprehensive process. Cisco has established these rules so that professionals may stay current on recertification, as long as they follow the guidelines. They must pass the recertification exams, after registering to recertify.

Three years is the expiration for professional level, associate level, and entry level certification. This means that a professional would be required to recertify within a three year period after the last certification, once associate level CCNA training has been achieved. The entry level certifications are CCENT and CCT. Several options are included in the professional and associate levels of training.

People who have achieved the expert level certifications have a two year period after the last certification, before they must recertify. The certifications at the expert level include the CCIE and CCDE certifications. Cisco expert level CCIE certifications include training in various things, such as wireless, security and collaboration.

A person who has attained Cisco certification as an architect has achieved the CCAr certification. This is the highest achievable certification offered through the educational system at Cisco. The recertification deadline for an individual of architect status is five years.

A recertification is required within a two year period, for those who have attained specialist certifications. Specialist certifications comprise a wide assortment of choices. Professionals might become specialists in video, operating system hardware, security, data center, and collaboration.
