Many people confuse the act of self-love as a feeling. In this generation, there is the desire to be loved more than it was years ago. Everyone will agree that it is impossible to appreciate and want others if you had issues understanding yourself. Therefore, these are important steps to growing in self love as a person and understand your immediate environment.

Affection is a very crucial component in human survival, and it drives people working out their lives. It affects different things in our lives like the image we have at work, how we tackle challenges in life and who we choose as a lifetime partner. A proper self-esteem would help a long way in sorting out these components of our lives. Most individuals do not accept but when we face a crisis on such issues it's not the physical environment that have a problem with us but as are results of internal forces at work.

Some cases have been extreme where people change their looks to appreciate themselves. Others do new clothes, but they solve internal issues with a physical mindset. People have been reading books to improve their self-esteem as others look for relationships. Most of these remedies would bring a good short term feeling, but it won't solve the issue. Individual affection is more of a psychological decision that results in spiritual, physical, and mental acceptance and maturity other than a feeling.

The beginning of success in an improved and mature self-esteem is to accept and acknowledge the fact that humans have strengths and weaknesses. Knowing this help us focus on values and live our purpose with a clear direction. It is good to be mindful of what others think and feel every time. But that is not to mean that you should be susceptible to human manipulation all the times.

In life, there are needs and wants. Individuals who have matured personal confidence always work more on what they need rather than what they want. It is only the strong who walk away from individualistic pleasures and focus on the most important issues of life. Just by knowing the difference between wants and needs are a critical step to making sound decisions about your life and that of others around you.

When talking of personal love its always easy to point to distant issues and forget things like personal hygiene, proper sleep, good eating habits and intimacy. They are where the good and healthy social relations are built. Most of people who ignore this basic stuff always end up with so many social self-esteem issues.

Set boundaries that will influence love, work and other activities. It will help you not to harm and deplete the emotional and spiritual well-being. Bring the right people around you. People that will encourage you and share happy and sad moments with you. Remember there is no enough time on earth to spend with individuals that bring you down.

In conclusion, be responsible for your entire life and forgive your past mistakes. Remember we are not perfect creatures. Live one day at a time and make bold steps to control your life as you celebrate every success you achieve.
