The Greatest Enemy Of Dreams

By Evan Sanders

"The worst enemy to creativity is self-doubt." Sylvia Plath

When we begin to question our ability to achieve our dreams we start to lose what is actually possible for us. We let fear and doubt crawl into our lives and in the worst case, completely paralyze us from taking any more action.

We can even take it a step further in regard to chasing dreams. Since the playing field is even more competitive, and doubt comes into our minds, that's when it actually does ruin everything or seems to put a total stop to everything we've ever wanted in this life.

Dreams are one of the toughest things to follow because they demand your absolute best. But despite them being difficult, they bring something out in you that causes you to grow and rise to the challenge every single time if you are willing. When you decide to chase your dreams, they will ask the world from you but give you the world and more back.

When you listen to someone talking of a dream, there's this sense you get from them that they know something is going to happen despite great amounts of uncertainty surrounding the entire thing. There's a built-in sense of belief that roots itself so deep in that person that they know they can't be beaten. That's true and real faith.

However, when you hear someone whose dreams are living in a world of doubt, you can tell almost right away. Of course you aren't rooting against them, but you know damn well that if they don't believe that it's going to happen it most certainly won't. Dreams function on belief, and without it they won't thrive.

Devote your life to what is possible for you. Devote your life to your dreams. Without your dreams, you are just functioning in a place of being comfortable. That's a nice place, but nothing really grows there.

Just do it. Give it a shot.
